In our VR research projects, we work with strong partners from industry and science to research the best applications of spatial data processing.
As part of the HaloCube project, a VR planning environment is being developed that enables the intuitive design of work systems for human-robot collaboration (HRC).
The focus is on the virtual commissioning of modular lightweight robots in order to be able to realistically evaluate their economic use in advance. Automated validation mechanisms and a feasibility study support the verification of technical and economic feasibility before the systems are transferred into practical operation.
As part of the project, we are developing an interactive and dynamic, AI-based recommendation system for an optimized object arrangement in production planning in virtual reality.
The system dynamically generates position suggestions directly in the virtual environment, taking into account criteria that ensure an optimized work process in production. With our AI-based approach, we research solutions that take complex relationships into account and are able to generate suitable suggestions in real time.
As part of the XR-Crafting research project, we looked at how to actively transform everyday working life with the help of virtual reality.
The aim of the project is to develop mixed-reality software and an organizational process model that allows employees to transfer their work situation to the virtual environment as easily as possible.
With the help of 3D Pointcloud scans, the real workstation is captured and transferred to the virtual world. The work processes are then recorded by a camera system and also displayed in VR, where they can be edited and evaluated.
